Healthy Nutrition: Low Carbs

In a recent conversation with a friend, we were discussing how in other countries, carbs were the mainstay of their meals. (Rice, pasta, breads & grains) Only highlighted in America is this low carb craze-and we are one of the most obese nations. I have had several clients go on the low carb, only to gain back more weight than they had originally started with. So please have balance and use wisdom It’s a lot about portion size and the type of foods that you are eating.

I’m reminded of several years ago when I first returned to the U.S. from Germany, around the late 80’s-the craze at that time was about specialized aerobic flooring and shoes! It was out of control. We tend to go to extremes and overboard-so don’t just jump on the bandwagon-don’t go with the flow-allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you His wisdom and let Him guide you. I mean God gave the Israelites fresh manna everyday (was that a carb?), and Jesus broke bread with the disciples, not protein. Have a wonderful, blessed May! Enjoy!
