I wrote this article 18 years ago when I wrote for a local Christian newspaper! Felt is was still timely today! Have been in a place where God is resurrecting JoyfulMoves, exciting adventure! Like the book, “21 days of Joyful Eating!” Thank you all for your support! Those who responded with such positive comments, I am extremely appreciative!
Also, cannot keep silent about what is going on in Korea where I was born and haven’t been back since age 8! My heart thrills at what is unfolding, my parents would have been elated and so happy!!! I know that this is one of the suddenlies that is occurring and is a sign for other suddenlies, be prepared and excited! Suddenlies of God are perfect!!!
May is one of my favorite months, maybe it’s because this is the month that God brought me into the world. Whatever the reason, it seems to be a month of celebration. Actually, we should be celebrating all the time! Knowing that we are born again, going to heaven, and most important that God is with us every day, minute, and second!
Psalm 145:18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 145:20 The Lord watches over all who love him…
Celebrating means being HAPPY! Webster’s dictionary defines “happy” as, having, showing, or causing great pleasure or joy; lucky; fortunate. Do you look like you are lucky and fortunate? Do the people around you see that you have great pleasure and joy? Are you allowing God to change the atmosphere around you to cause joy to flow out of you? As Christians, we should be filled with ultimate joy and happiness, knowing that our God loves us and watches us. Everyone should see that there is something different about us. We are all missionaries and our mission field is everywhere we go, grocery shopping, paying bills, at the bank, eating out, at the workplace. God has placed you, where no one else is. We are set apart, in the world but not of the world.
Psalm 67:1-2 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth and your salvation among all nations.
Meditate on God’s love, goodness, and all that He has done for you and let the joy of the Lord flood your life! Let happiness exude out and off of you!
Psalm 84:12 O Lord of hosts, happy is everyone who trusts in you.
Psalm 70:4 Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you.
If you are not in that place of joy and happiness, seek the Lord, and ask Him to fill you with all He has for you!
FITNESS TIP: Taken from Dr. George H. Malkmus, “Why Christians get sick”, The human body, depending on size, has approximately five quarts of blood which are constantly traveling through the entire body, making 3,000 to 5,000 round trips a day! The heart pumps some 20,000,000,000 (20 billion) blood cells throughout the body. These blood cells carry nourishment to the body cells, while collecting wastes to be removed from the body.
The heart muscle must be kept strong in order to keep the blood continuously moving with good strength as it feeds and cleanses the body cells. Many people fail to realize the absolute necessity of aerobic exercises for the maintaining of a strong heart to pump the blood.
Stay strong in the joy of the Lord!
Blessings,
Pat
