Be Separate/December

Joyful Moves for Christ…

Christmas holidays are here, and of course, this is a very special time of year for we are celebrating Jesus Christ’s birthday! How blessed we are as Christians to know what this season is all about. The birth of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ! Please take time to know exactly why we are celebrating Christmas. Not to just buy presents, decorate trees and houses. Not to do what the world does, but to come out and be separate, not to blend in with the world. Make a sacrifice to Our Lord and purify yourselves. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of holiday rush, and enter that place of rest with the Lord.

“For he who has once entered [God’s] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own. Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell].” Hebrews 4:10

Get in that place of rest this holiday season. There are so many things in the world that’s set up specifically to tempt the flesh, especially this time of year. To spend more than we should, to eat more than we should, to just intensify our emotions more. We are to reflect Our Lord, Jesus in everything we do, and especially our lifestyles.

Fitness Tip:

Many of us will be tempted with more than the usual quantity of food during the holidays. As you celebrate, try to eat less amount and more frequently, than eating large amounts. There will be times that it will be impossible to pass up the delicacies, so fill your plate with small portions. Focus on the natural foods. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide and direct you at each meal on what to choose. Make it an adventure and an interactive experience with Our Lord. Wash down each meal with plenty of water, just pure water. Most of all, slow down, think about what you’re putting in your mouth, and Enjoy the Holidays!!

HAVE A VERY BLESSED CHRISTMAS!!!
