I Corinthians 9:24-27
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
God’s words are so perfect. They reveal to us exactly what we are to do. I pray that these scriptures touch you, and that He opens up your heart to receive and to walk in them! We are in a race whether we like it or not, so run the race to WIN! Set your goals, don’t run aimlessly, know that you are fighting an enemy that is out to kill and destroy you. If he can attack our minds and our bodies, then we are weakened, so train up your body and mind to resist and beat the enemy! Ask Our Lord to guide, instruct and to keep you. The people you see that are winners have gone through much training and fighting.
2 Timothy 4:7
