There are a lot of misconceptions about dieting. Certain diets require large quantities of protein while depleting many of the carbohydrates that are needed daily. The fact still remains that after 30 years of experience, no diet works. Large quantities of protein with minimum carbohydrates
cannot only be ineffective in the long term but very medically harmful.
Colorful fruits and vegetables provide the human body with various essential antioxidants. These antioxidants which are restrictive in the high protein diets are the best anti cancer nutrients that one can utilize in their daily consumption. The reason why these diets don’t work from a weight loss standpoint is when you go back to eating these carbohydrates which you have depleted from your daily routine, your body starts to store these foods that then turn to fat which results in rapid weight gain.
All diets are based on deprivation, thus setting up life’s rollercoaster ride of repetitive gaining and losing and gaining again. All good things in life are based on symmetry and balance. (Spiritually, emotionally, physically, and nutritionally). It’s a learning process, understanding how to eat to live instead of living to eat. If you fail to plan, plan to fail. Proper daily consumption of vitamins and proper food consumption are the essence of quality living.
